In response to your message on crazy times. Voting for Obama is not a bad idea. Mcain has voted against renewable energy 25 times.Obama's plan lowers taxes for 95% of us. Mcain has always voted against regulation. He is geting his campaign contributions from special intrest groups and that is who he has always represanted. Dont take my word for it. Go to our group Inexpensive clean energy. There I posted links to your reps voting history, how much money they get from big oil, contact congress, and more government sites and non partisan watch dogs. Do the research and learn the facts.Yesturday the stock market had its larges loss ever after the plan did not go through. Americans lost trillions of dollars because the republicans got there fellings hurt.Senior citizens that were depending on that money for retirement. This is not about the fat cats in wall St., it's about geting loans for homes, small business, cars, education and the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs.It affects me in small town Texas. This is an election year and our reps will act if they here from us.
On a brighter note. Senate passed a bill(HR6049) 93-2 to extend renewable energy tax credits. read about it on my page, it's not over.
Join the ICEgroup if you hav'nt already done so. It's full of great links and info.

Good Morning Sara,

I didn't forget about your interest -- It is going to take time for me to receive postings from employers, especially when I noticed many I'm contacting are not members (yet) to The Pickens Plan.

In the interim, when you have a moment, please go to:

http://www.stopdodo.com
http://www.greenjobs.com

Review the postings and consider creating a job seeker's profile, set the search to 'Daily' and begin applying to opportunities of interest to you...don't forget to add a link to your Pickens profile which will allow a RE/AE company to review your genuine interest and involvement.

I wish you the best, keep your eye of PICKens Me! Jobs!

Welcome aboard. I can't tell you what to organize because it appears to be specific to where you live. Your town or city may have all the right pieces in place, it probably does not.

I am trying to get a meeting with my congressional rep and senators. I have put together a letter with others help and sent it out. I am also trying to affect my city and state zoning laws by lobbying them to change. Anything you can afford to do time wise is what is needed. This problem is big and there is no silver bullet. It will only die by the death of a thousand cuts. Each one of us has a small knife and we need to make our mark.

Each of us has to change our behavior and then change the laws, zoning and attitudes of others around us. If you need help, let me know. I will do what I can though it might not be much. I will help.
