This one is mostly California based... but its important to know that the fuel cell generates electricity to run the electri motor powering, so basically its yet another way to have an electric car. I thing a pure battery electric car will not work as well as a car that has longer drive range with some easy fillup system. Car recharge for electricity is time consumig, fuel fillup is fast.
Pickens has maybe got it right if the Natural Gas solution is a drop-in generator to power/recharge a battery-based storage standard in an electric car system with regenerative braking.
What we need is fueling stations that use wind/solar power to initiate the hydrogen/oxygen electrolysis (???) process to creat super electicity to charge your electric car. The fueling stations will include a large battery or battery building storing electricity.
Basically making ALL cars electric.

Good idea. a recharge and re-fuel station that makes its own sustainable fuel from H2 extraction powered by solar/wind for refueling is really an ideal utopia.
Save the Natural gas for home heating systems ( equipped with scrubbers )
